Data Deletion Request
You can request deletion of specific types of data while keeping your HRG Health or HRG Clinic account active. This gives you more control over your personal information.
Note: This is different from account deletion. To delete your entire account, visit Delete Account.
Types of Data You Can Request to Delete
You may request deletion of the following data types:
- Profile Information: Name, address, profile picture (phone number retained for account)
- Medical Documents: Uploaded lab reports, prescriptions, medical images
- Appointment History: Past appointment records (subject to retention requirements)
- Video Recordings: Recorded video consultations (subject to consent and retention policy)
- Chat History: Messages between you and healthcare providers
- Payment History: Transaction records (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Device Data: Push notification tokens, device identifiers, app usage data
How to Request Data Deletion
Option 1: In-App Data Management
- Open the HRG Health or HRG Clinic app
- Go to Settings โ Privacy & Data
- Select "Manage My Data"
- Choose the data types you want to delete
- Confirm your request with OTP verification
Option 2: Email Request
Send an email to support@hrglife.com with:
- Subject: "Data Deletion Request"
- Your registered phone number
- Your registered email address
- Specific data types you want deleted (from the list above)
- Reason for deletion (optional)
Data Retention Requirements
Under healthcare regulations and legal requirements, some data must be retained:

Processing Time
- Data deletion requests are processed within 30 days
- You will receive email confirmation when deletion is complete
- Some data may be anonymized instead of deleted for statistical purposes
What Happens After Deletion
After your data deletion request is processed:
- Selected data will be permanently removed from our systems
- Your account remains active with remaining data
- Data required for legal compliance will be retained but marked for deletion upon expiry
- Backup copies are deleted within 90 days
Your GDPR Rights
Under GDPR, you have the following data rights:
- Right to Access: Request a copy of all your data
- Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
- Right to Erasure: Delete your data (this page)
- Right to Portability: Export your data in machine-readable format
- Right to Restrict Processing: Limit how we use your data
- Right to Object: Object to certain processing activities
Need to export your data first?
You can download a copy of all your data before deletion by going to Settings โ Privacy & Data โ Export My Data in the app, or by emailing support@hrglife.com with subject "Data Export Request".
